tudents have been exploring with different works in the classroom. The water color changing work is popular. The students take the three primary colors and mix two at a time to make the three secondary colors using water and food coloring. We have a paper bag puppet making work out. Students can color and cut out either a giraffe or elephant and glue the pieces onto a brown bag to make a puppet.
We are wrapping up our study on sharks and will be starting to discuss continents and the term Pangaea. We had two birthday celebrations this week and during those celebrations we sing the continent song about all seven continents.
We will be talking more about makers and our school wide theme. I would like to give you the opportunity to share something you make with the class. It can be something dealing with work, it can be a hobby or your favorite recipe. Email mail me ideas you may have and we will go from there.
Today Mr. Ryan, the art teacher at Willowwind, came in and discussed media with the students. The students then were given different kinds of media to draw on a large piece of paper. They were encouraged to draw with several kinds of media on one piece of paper.
Leah was out Friday and Ms. Roz was in our classroom.
Thank you to all the readers, Papa Craig, Caroline, Bonnie, and Noga!
Thank you to all of the support with the peeing issue. We no longer have any on the floor on a regular basis!
No School Monday:)
