Brr, the weather is getting cooler! As Fall has arrived we have been encouraging and practicing putting on our own jackets and sweaters as well as zipping them up. We encourage the flip and zip where the students put the coat on the floor up-side-down and stand above the hood, they then put their hands into the sleeves and lift the jacket up over their head as they slide their arms in.
Please join us at the Harvest Fest tomorrow from 2-5. It is a fun filled event with activities and treats. Thank you to those who volunteered to help with the apple biting activity:)
We have been discussing sharks and first fish this week. We read about a fish that was found that was thought to be extinct and lived during the dinosaur period. We also talked about what sharks eat and that they do not want to eat us but may mistake us for seals or sea lions.
We have a new artwork out called decotropes. The students color two circles that are connected. They then tape a straw to them and tape the two circles together. As they hold the straw between their two hands and spin the circles it creates an optical illusion that the lines are moving.
For our cooking project this week, Ms. Betsy, showed us how to cut banana and put a raisin on top of each slice! This was put out each morning for the students to do in addition to regular snack.
Have a wonderful weekend!
