The article below is a great read. It has a good point about letting preschoolers play and sensory issues. There is also a hard copy posted outside the classroom.

What a hot week! We have been encouraging drinking lots of water. Your child is encouraged to bring a water bottle to school for use in the classroom and outside. It can stay at school all week and go home to be washed on Friday with rest items or transported back and forth daily.
As a class we have been really working on respect on the line and listening to others speak, taking turns and raising our hands. Thank you Jensen for sharing his family pictures from Adventure Land. We do allow children to share things from nature, something that was made or family related.
Starting next week we will begin our weekly rotation of science and baking curriculum. Once a week we will either do a science experiment or baking project. If you have an interest in helping or would like to come in and do either one please let us know:)
We met Ms. Ximena, our new Spanish teacher.
Thank you Ellie's family for bringing in the Monarch caterpillar. It formed a chrysalis over the weekend and the students are trying patiently to await the butterfly's arrival.
Thank you Angie for reading to the class on Friday. Thank you Aria's day, Brandon, for reading to us on Tuesday.
Here are dates to mark on your calendar:
September 10 - Curriculum night 5:30-6:30
September 22 - Picture Day
September 29 - Vision Screening. I will be putting a consent form in your child's cubby closer to the date for you to sign.
